Is Distant Reiki As Effective As In Person?
I get asked this a lot, and the answer is yes, definitely!
It is essentially the same, yet they are slightly different. Both can feel really nurturing and relaxing, both are extremely effective, they are just different experiences. In person, I enjoy creating a beautiful space for clients to be able to temporarily relax and be in the moment, to leave any experiences from their day at the door and focus on themselves for a short time.
I still do this for a distant session, I always set up my space with oils and crystals and make it cosy and comfortable, so that the energetic mood is calm and peaceful. I always suggest to my clients that they do the same for themselves at home, see below for some ideas on how to create your healing space and make the most of your session.
With distant sessions I receive a lot of insight and information which I pass on to you afterwards, so you receive a channelled energy reading, specific to you. This is all in addition to the actual Reiki healing energy, which will do its work whether there are messages received or not. In person there is the added element of being able to chat face to face about what has been happening for you, and what you are experiencing or would like help with.
Both are equally wonderful, think about what works best for you – it’s not always possible to fit in a physical visit, and with distance work I can connect with anyone, anywhere in the world.
If in-person sounds like the thing for you, go to the “Book Now” button in the menu to find a suitable day and time.
What Will I Notice During My Session?
People report feelings of warmth or tingling, seeing lights or colours or images behind their closed eyes, feeling really relaxed, even sleepy. Sometimes your mind might be really, really busy, or quite calm. You might feel nothing other than the usual sensations you experience when relaxing like this. Don’t worry if that’s the case, you aren’t “doing it wrong”.
Reiki can seem to be a very subtle energy experience, but can actually create really powerful shifts in your emotions and perspective.
There’s not always immediate bursts of clarity, thought sometimes there is; I usually notice the shifts and changes over time, looking back.
Journaling my feelings and experiences helps to see clearly what has occurred over time, the insights and realisations, the habits and beliefs that have shifted and changed, even the physical changes that have come about.
